Contemporary Balinese Floral Banten

US$105.00

Our take on the Balinese Floral Banten is modern, contemporary and even more colourful. A sacred symbolic language according to the Hindu view, ‘Banten’ is a medium for visualizing Hindu teachings and to convey Sradha and Bhakti to Hyang Widhi's omnipotence. Usually provided at the end of a Balinese religious ceremony, the floral banten is presented to the Gods at the Balinese temple. Our version is flower-only banten filled with textures and vibrant colours that symbolises a form of offering that aims to create harmony between humans as the giver of offerings to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Flowers used vary from roses, marigolds, orchids, gerberas, lilies, tuberoses, carnations, asters and chrysanthemums to the fragrant Balinese frangipanis and seasonal greens.

Banten base made of rattan or wicker may vary in colour and depth depending on availability ot the local market. Approximate base size is 25 cm (L) x 25 cm (W) x 15 cm (H)

*Disclaimer: Flowers are gifts of nature and availability is dependent upon the season and markets. Therefore, not all designs will be exactly as pictured. In the event that a particular bouquet or colour combination cannot be met, our creative team will do their utmost to provide you with the next best arrangement.
