The Bali Florist is equally blessed to have partnered with like-minded individuals – some of Bali’s treasured experts – to share their knowledge with you. From floristry to pottery, photography to calligraphy and even watercolour painting, we aim to present a wonderful array of fun and educational workshops for both adults and kids in our community.

Intro to Floristry – Bloom Box/Basket
Level: Beginner Floristry
Learn the basics of floristry from flower/colour selection, conditioning flowers to creating a free form arrangement using a base and floral foam.

Intro to Floristry – Handtied Bouquet
Level: Beginner Floristry

Dried Flower Bouquet/Arrangement
Level: Beginner/Intermediate Floristry
Create a long last lasting bouquet using local and imported flowers and foliage. You will learn various dry-able flowers/foliage to combine into a beautiful forever-bouquet wrapped in burlap material for that rustic feel. Learn also easy ways to home-dry your own flowers and foliage.

Bohemian Bloom Basket
Level: Intermediate Floristry
Dive deeper into floristry by creating a rustic and free flowing bloom basket. This exploding box arrangement will feature an orchid plant alongside an abundance of other flowers as an asymmetrical floral art centrepiece.

Bloom Tote Florals

Learn how to create an elaborate, overflowing artful centrepiece in a large natural hyacinth tote bag. Combining the use of an abundance of local and imported flowers, you will experiment using an irregular shape as the base to create an artistic and chic centrepiece.

Mini Fresh/Dried Bloom Basket

DIY Potpourri
Level: Beginner
Make your own potpourri using all the dried ingredients available at The Bali Florist. Learn the various types of flowers/foliage usable for potpourri and the basic ingredients needed to put together a long lasting potpourri. Bring your own containers to fill them with soothingly scented self-made potpourri.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
Level: Beginner
Learn the simple techniques to product photography using your mobile phone and natural light. Wedding Photography, Andre Lesmana of @firewoodandearth teaches you tips and tricks to make your product photos closer to professional looking images. Suitable for small business owners – florists, restauratuers, caterers, online marketers and others. The module will cover basic theory, initial product shooting, photo review, corrected product shooting, and applying filters on mobile application.

Any props within the florist are usable as photo subjects

BRUSH CALLIGRAPHY
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Learn to handwrite beautifully and make a long lasting impression on your greeting card or for your display board/tag. Putri Sanjiwani of @sanjletter teaches you the basics of brush calligraphy using a soft-tip brush calligraphy pen. This module starts with learning the different brush strokes through the alphabet and all the way to short common phrases.
