PRE-ORDER: Mochi Ichigo Daifuku by Nijiiro Wagashi

Mochi (もち, 餅) is a Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. While it's eaten year-round, mochi is a traditional food for the Japanese New Year and is commonly sold and eaten during that time.

Nijiiro Wagashi, a Japanese confectionery based in Bali, offers mochi ichigo daifuku made in the most authentic way. The mochis are available in four different fillings of your choice with a fresh strawberry in the centre: matcha, anko (red bean), hojicha (charcoal-roasted Japanese green tea), and chocolate.

Each Mochi Ichigo Daifuku is carefully filled with house-blended filling with a fresh piece of strawberry and then molded by hand with glutinous rice flour to perfection, with love poured into every piece. The texture is soft and slightly chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness that will make every bite melt in your mouth.

The pop-up home bakery started with a rice cake-loving girl's desire to bring fresh mochi to Bali, combining her designer mindset with sustainability. Nijiiro Wagashi provides aesthetic while being mindful of our planet, and the couple partnered to create a sustainable and delicious dessert company.
